The victim was tied at his feet and blindfolded. Initial findings showed the man had numerous head wounds, burns and cuts, Italian media reported.
Workers discovered body
The body was accidentally discovered by some workers doing maintenance work. The man was about 40 to 50 years old and had a rope wrapped around his neck.
The dead man had torture marks on his head, circular burns and wounds that were probably the result of severe beatings. The Trieste Public Prosecutor’s Office has taken over the investigation.
