Four men walking in the Auer-Welsbach-Park in Vienna on Sunday got into an argument. The victim, a 43-year-old man, was attacked by one man with punches and injured by another man with a knife. The police had to swerve.
It is not known how the dispute between the group of men could escalate to this extent. What is certain is that a man attacked the victim with a knife and injured his buttocks. He was attacked with punches by another opponent.
A passerby came to help
When a passerby saw the fighters and came to help, the unknown suspects fled, leaving the victim injured.
The search for the perpetrators continues
The injured person received emergency medical care from Vienna emergency medical services and was taken to a hospital. The search for the suspects has so far been fruitless. The investigation was taken over by the local police station.
