A 43-year-old was seriously injured in a terrible work accident in Rohrberg in the Zillertal on Thursday evening. It was broken off an embankment by a small tractor during woodwork and ended up under the vehicle.
The accident happened around 6:30 p.m. when the local woman used the small tractor’s winch to pull felled trees onto a forest path near her farm in Rohrberg, while her husband was carrying out work in the forest. The couple’s five-year-old son was also nearby.
Tractor overturned and took woman with it
While the 43-year-old was operating the winch, the tractor tipped sideways down an embankment for an unknown reason, rolled over and took the farmer with it. She ended up under the aircraft with serious injuries.
The alerted rescuers had to save the woman. She was then flown by emergency helicopter to the clinic in Innsbruck.
