At least two people were killed by Russian shelling in southern Ukraine on Wednesday evening. Four other people were injured. Moscow previously reported a new Ukrainian missile attack on Crimea.
According to the Interior Ministry, two civilians were killed and one person injured in a Russian missile attack on a food warehouse in the Mykolaiv region. The village of Stepove was attacked, as Vitalii Kim, head of the military administration in Mykolaiv, announced on Telegram.
Bodies recovered from the rubble
Only two people were rescued dead from the rubble of the destroyed building. Another person was injured. Homes and farms were also damaged in the attack, Kim said.
According to military governor Olexander Prokudin, three more people were injured by artillery and air strikes in the neighboring Kherson region. Russia has repeatedly bombed civilian targets in Ukraine with artillery, drones and missiles since the start of the war of aggression in February 2022.
Missile attack reported on Sevastopol
The Russian Defense Ministry previously reported the defense of two Ukrainian S-200 missiles near the key port city of Sevastopol on Crimea’s occupied Black Sea peninsula. There may therefore be no injury or damage. Russian and Ukrainian Telegram channels published videos of smoke plumes near the city. Ukrainian observers locate Black Sea Fleet weapons bases in this area. The information could not initially be independently verified.
