A 22-year-old Tyrolean motorist was involved in a cinematic chase with Bavarian and local police on Sunday evening. After the young man apparently did not want to go through a border control and almost shot two German police officers, he fled with screeching tires. We then returned to Tyrol via Germany, where the suspect eventually surrendered.
At around 1 a.m., German police officers, as part of routine asylum border checks, wanted to remove the car with an Austrian license plate that was driving on the B172 Walchseestrasse from Niederndorf (Kufstein district) towards Oberaudorf in Bavaria. The driver, a 22-year-old Tyrolean, apparently didn’t feel like it.

“The man initially responded to the arrest of the German police officers and stopped his vehicle. When two officers approached, the driver suddenly accelerated and drove away with screeching tires. “There was almost a collision between the car and the police officers,” the director said.
Pursuit via Bavaria to Tyrol
The German officials then immediately began pursuing the fugitive. The suspect was initially hunted in Bavaria. After suddenly turning his car around, he ran back towards Kufstein and therefore the Tyrolean police were called.
Ultimately, the fugitive speedster was pursued by four German and several Austrian police patrols. “Near the Wörgl-Ost exit, the driver ignored another attempt to stop. “He continued his dangerous journey into the city before suddenly stopping and getting out,” investigators continued.
Drunk, no driver’s license
