A fatal accident took place in the Vorarlberg city of Dornbirn on Friday evening. A 76-year-old woman was trying to cross an artificially lit protective path when she was hit by a 26-year-old’s car. The lady was thrown over the vehicle and was so seriously injured that she died a short time later in a clinic.
A fatal traffic accident took place in the Haselstauden district of Dornbirn on Friday around 7:10 p.m. A 26-year-old man driving his car on Haselstauderstrasse (L3) from Dornbirn towards Schwarzach overlooked a 76-year-old pedestrian crossing the artificially lit security path near the primary school, as police announced on Saturday evening. The driver probably hit the woman without braking.

The pedestrian was then thrown ten meters against the windshield and over the vehicle. The 76-year-old suffered serious injuries as a result of the collision and was taken by ambulance to LKH Feldkirch, where she later died. An expert was called in to determine the circumstances of the accident and Dornbirn police are looking for witnesses to this accident.
