A 63-year-old woman was so badly injured in an accidental fall on the roof of her woodshed that she could no longer climb down. Her brother called the fire brigade for help, who immediately arrived with heavy equipment.
The 63-year-old woman from Innviertel wanted to clean the metal roof of her shed with her brother (64) on Saturday afternoon and put a tarpaulin on it to seal it. While she was sweeping away leaves, the woman suddenly slipped and fell with her hand on the fold of the roof.
Emergency services rescued the injured
She probably suffered a broken bone and could no longer climb down from the roof independently. Her brother raised the alarm at the fire brigade. Emergency services from Braunau and Ranshofen then arrived with a turntable ladder and were able to rescue the injured person.
The woman received initial care from the Red Cross and was then taken to the Braunau clinic.
