Arrest escalated – Croat spat on police officers and kicked the officer

A 31-year-old behaved so badly during an operation at the train station in Dornbirn (Vorarlberg) that he ended up in the department’s detention cell. The Public Prosecution Service will also have to deal with the well-known man.

During a rescue operation on Sunday evening at Dornbirn train station, a Croat completely panicked. The 31-year-old, who is known to the police, behaved quite aggressively towards the emergency services. He shouted at them and walked menacingly towards one of the officers with his arms outstretched. Despite repeated requests to calm down, the man continued to behave quite aggressively.

Riots in the cell
He was eventually arrested after threatening to use pepper spray. However, the arrest was not without incident. The Croatian spat on the officials.

While being transported to the office, he kicked a policewoman, who suffered minor injuries. One of the commercial vehicles was also kicked. Once in the detention cell, the arrested man continued to riot. He damaged parts of the facility and made wild threats.

After the investigation was completed, the 31-year-old was reported to the Feldkirch public prosecutor’s office, including for resisting state authority. Whether he should be taken into custody will be determined by the public prosecutor after questioning.
