Whether they are private individuals, clubs or livestock farms: they can all receive as much as 40,000 euros with their special animal welfare projects! Applications for the Forster-Steinberg Foundation’s Animal Welfare Prize are open until November 15 and 23. A jury of experts will review and assess the entries and award the prizes.
The couple Eva and Franz Forster-Steinberg established a foundation named after them in 2019. The couple’s long-cherished wish: to promote animal protection as a central part of our society in a sustainable and long-term way. The well-known Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich with its veterinary faculty and the Vetmeduni in Vienna were selected as partners.
The foundation supports projects in the field of animal protection and livestock farming with the aim or result of improving animal health, replacing or limiting animal testing and ensuring animal-friendly housing for laboratory, companion and farm animals.
Special efforts will also be rewarded in 2023

More about the foundation’s work and previous projects can be found here.
