Christa P. (54) from Linz has been missing for more than two weeks. On Wednesday, about 35 people took part in a private search. Because: Family and friends don’t want to give up. However, the specific search was unsuccessful.
“We want certainty.” Family, friends, but also just people who want to help met on Wednesday in Linz-Ebelsberg.
Their goal: they wanted to find Christa P. (54). There has been no trace of the woman from Linz for two weeks.
Her 25-year-old daughter fears that something has happened to her mother: “She was not at home in her new apartment and only had a small backpack with her. She cannot go into hiding and does not have the money to do so. And she wouldn’t do that to us. Not her mother, not me and certainly not her grandchildren. She is one heart and one soul with them.”
Online call for search
But the family doesn’t want to give up. That is why there was an appeal on Facebook before All Saints’ Day. You should encourage as many people as possible to find Christa P. where they last saw her. About 35 people then set out around 10 a.m. on Wednesday to comb the area around Hillerstrasse.
Drinks for helpers
The family had thought of everything: drinks were available for the helpers. The search area was divided into sectors in which they wanted to search and a separate WhatsApp group was even set up so that people could stay in touch with each other and the volunteers could unsubscribe. “So that we really know who is still looking and who has gone home, and so that we do not also start looking for these people,” said the daughter.
Some helpers traveled long distances – such as Ernst Hofer (55) and Anita Schopper (38) from Bad Hall. They are former neighbors of Christa P. and wanted to help find the former acquaintance.
