We show you the tunnel network in the Gaza Strip, which is used by Hamas for terror and kidnappings, but is simply a lifeline for others.
Some have only sparse security and are so narrow that someone can just squeeze through. Others are fortified with thick concrete walls and even allow motor vehicles to pass through. It is estimated that there are more than a thousand tunnels, on average several tens of meters to more than a kilometer long, that have been dug by smugglers under the Gaza Strip, especially since 1994.
