The Lehendakari of the Basque Government, Inigo Urkulluon Monday helped lay the foundation stone of ADI data center, the large, top-level data center for the Atlantic region, which will be located on the Ezkerraldea-Meatzaldea Campus of the Bizkaia Science and Technology Park, in Abanto-Zierbena (Bizkaia).
This is a new infrastructure that both companies and institutions can access large capacity of information storage in the cloudunder criteria of maximum security and proximity, on which you can develop your digital transformation processes.
“Everything has changed overnight,” the Lehendakari said in his speech, as he ensured that this new form of information storage would be a “enormous qualitative leap‘Which will completely change the way we work with new technologies.
Urkullu is confident that the Atlantic Data Infrastructure-ADI Center will provide a ‘cheap, solvable and economical’ alternative for the Basque industrial fabric, preventing data storage from becoming a barrier to the development of the digitalization of companies.
‘In short, we are talking about a system kilometer zero with the latest digital technology and rooted in Euskadi,” he concludes.
