There was an increased police presence in the first precinct on Tuesday afternoon. The officers were looking for a man who a friend said could be violent.
On Tuesday, a man approached officers at a police station in the 16th arrondissement. A friend of his had suffered a personal blow from fate, was in a state of emergency and could not rule out that the violence could also have come from himself.
The police immediately started a search for the man. “The person being sought is currently suspected of being in the first arrondissement,” police told the Crown.
The police stood with a large contingent, including special units, in the city center because, according to the council, they could not assess whether he posed a danger or not.
The man has already been arrested.
