A body painting job turned into horror for two young students: a well-known Viennese artist performed sex acts on them instead of painting them. One of the witnesses almost collapses in the Vienna Regional Court.
“I had to pay for the next semester. So I looked for a job and found the offer,” the Vienna Regional Court student says, her voice cracking at the start of a two-hour ordeal. For about 100 euros she had to model for an artist – for a body painting project.
“The photos are just for us”
What the 76-year-old describes as a “completely harmonious atmosphere” in his studio in Vienna-Döbling causes the 28-year-old to cry hysterically as soon as she enters the interrogation room. The artist alternately performed sexual acts on her and then continued painting her. He then took pictures – exclusively of the intimate area. “The pictures are just for us,” he whispered to her.
The Colombian woman withstood the attack for two hours. “I thought anything could happen to me,” she says, describing her fear. She said no again and again: “He then said he was sorry, that was out of emotion.”
Second victim describes similar incident
And she wasn’t the only one. A second young woman reported a similar attack to the women’s hotline. “Why would two women who do not know each other tell such a similar story?” Judge Corinna Huber asks the defendant. Silence follows.
Because he violated sexual self-determination in two cases, he did not legally serve a nine-month suspended sentence. “These were serious incidents, but so far you have not been blamed. It is enough that you are threatened with a prison sentence,” Judge Huber explains. She awards the victims the requested compensation of 100 or 300 euros.
