The Basque government is going to make an appeal selective process for access to public employment for 6 people with intellectual disabilitieswhich will subsequently be allocated and integrated into public administration.
The call will reinforce the next publication in the Official Gazette of the Basque Country (BOPV) of an order from the advisor of the Department of Public Administration and Self-Government, Olatz Garamendi, which includes the call for five regulation positions, with category of professional civil servants, and a kitchen assistant, with the permanent job category. The admission tests will take place in the first quarter of 2024.
With this call, the Basque government once again demonstrates its “firm commitment to helping people with intellectual disabilities access public employment, as Employment is one of the fundamental resources for their integration on an equal footing in our society.
‘In short: it is an effective step for the full integration of all people in the world of work and, in this case, in public administration,” said the Department of Public Administration and Self-Government.
The places that will be filled in these processes of access to public employment are those that the Basque Government has specifically reserved in its job lists for people with intellectual disabilities.
Can participate in the selection tests: people over 16 years old with an intellectual disability of 33% or morein addition to meeting other requirements, such as having the nationality of one of the states of the European Union (the rest of the foreigners can only apply for the employment position), being able to perform the required duties or not having been dismissed in a disciplinary procedure of other government services.
After the selection tests, the people who passed the exams and were not selected will become part of the specific job boards that will be created once the selection process is completed and will serve to temporarily fill vacancies when necessary.
