A moped driver had a fatal accident on Monday evening in the municipality of Großgmain (Salzburg). The 17-year-old left the road and crashed into a guardrail.
The young driver was driving on Großgmainer Landesstraße in the Wartberg district. According to initial information from the police, the 17-year-old left the road in a long bend to the left, slid over the shoulder and crashed into a barrier. This describes a motorist who witnessed the accident.
Resuscitation fails
Despite immediate and continued resuscitation efforts by first responders, the 17-year-old could not be saved. The man from Flachgau died at the Salzburg University Hospital.
