After an illegal eviction of the apartment, a landlady was brought to court in Vienna for trespassing. Instead of returning the property to the innocent tenant, she is now demanding 57 percent more interest.
It will be a story without end. It’s torture for Wolfgang Schwanke. Because his landlady K. wanted to illegally remove him from the apartment after 25 years when he was on vacation. She had already removed most of his property, including documents (we reported).
Furniture is missing, assembly was refused
Schwanke went to court with help from the tenant for trespassing. There it was decided that Mrs. K. should hire a transport company to return his belongings. A few days ago the time had come, but: Some furniture is missing and the assembly of the disassembled refrigerator and bed was also rejected.
Instead, K. himself wanted a lawyer who, instead of all his possessions, brought a hefty rent increase, namely by 57 percent from 508 to 829 euros. “I’m just stunned,” said Schwanke, who is seeking compensation.
