Spectacular traffic accident late Wednesday evening in Innsbruck: the cars of a resident (58) and a Croat (26) crashed on the B171 Tiroler Straße near Kranebitten. The man’s car then collided head-on with another vehicle. One person was injured in the accident.
The traffic accident happened shortly after 10 p.m. The 58-year-old local woman was driving west on the B171 near Kranebitten when the Croat’s car came towards him and she turned into the turning lane.
Head-on collision after collision
“The two vehicles then collided,” police investigators said. The 58-year-old “torn up” his car and “then crashed head-on into the car of a 24-year-old Austrian who was in the turning lane.”
The passenger of the 26-year-old Croat – a local woman (21) – was injured by the force of the blow and was taken to the clinic in Innsbruck after receiving first aid at the scene of the accident. There was extensive damage to all three cars.
Accident site difficult to access
During the operation and recovery of the vehicles, the accident site was difficult to pass until shortly before midnight. In addition to the Red Cross rescue workers, the professional fire brigade of Innsbruck was also present.
