Because he noticed a vibration at the traffic lights while driving his truck in Tyrol, a driver stopped the vehicle and looked for the reason. A cyclist (73) was lying on the ground to the right of the truck.
On December 7 around 11:50 a.m., a 37-year-old Austrian was driving a truck eastbound in Innsbruck on the Fürstenweg. At the intersection with Bachlechnerstrasse, the man drove the truck into the left lane of Fürstenweg and entered Bachlechnerstrasse.
Partially rolled over by the rear wheel
After the traffic light turned green, the man drove away. He noticed a vibration and stopped. When he checked, he saw a cyclist lying on the ground to the right of his vehicle.
Apparently, for an unknown reason, the woman was partially run over by the rear axle of the truck and was seriously injured. The 73-year-old woman was taken by ambulance to the clinic in Innsbruck.
Witnesses to the accident are requested to contact the Innsbruck traffic inspectorate (tel. 059133/7591).
