It was almost clear that the two Graz teenagers (16 and 17 years old) would end up in the dock. Now the prosecutor is done. In August, the two hit a sushi landlady from Linz while trying to escape. The Public Prosecution Service accuses the duo of attempted murder.
In August this year, the two Grazers (16 and 17) were eating at a sushi restaurant on Linzer Landstrasse. They ran away without paying, got into the boy’s mother’s car and tried to escape. The deceived sushi landlady (42) rushed after the duo, was run over by the escapees and was left seriously injured.
Up to ten years in prison
The escape of the two young people ended only days later in Croatia. Since their transfer to Austria, the two have been held separately in Graz prison. Now the prosecution’s indictment is ready.
The charge of attempted murder has been served, but is not yet legally binding; the objection period runs from fourteen days. A trial date in Graz has not yet been set. If convicted, the two young people face a prison sentence of up to ten years.
