It is a November weekend in 2015. In a guest house in Innsbruck, Swiss Barbara Iserhardt falls into the hands of a ‘crown’. The problem is several months old. While browsing through it, the woman discovered a report on 34 rescued Greenland dogs from Styria. A little later, Iserhardt picks up one of the dogs from the animal shelter. It is the beginning of a fateful encounter between man and animal.
In March 2015, a sad case of animal abuse became known in Styria: a man had outgrown his dog breeding business. The Greenland dogs reproduced uncontrollably. Some of the 34 animals were pitifully emaciated and neglected when they were finally taken from their owners and taken to animal shelters.
