There is no question of a white Christmas yet: the coming long weekend will remain mainly mild and snow-free. Only the wind is stormy during the holidays. Weather experts even expect temperatures of up to 15 degrees in eastern Austria.
It starts mainly cloudy and locally rainy Saturday throughout Austria. There is quite a stormy wind blowing over the west. The snowfall limit is between 1000 meters in the west and initially 600 meters in the central mountains and in the Mühlviertel. Temperatures rise to a maximum of ten degrees.
Also on Christmas Eve it remains stormy and rainy. Snow is only possible above 1100 to 1200 meters. From Vorarlberg to southern Burgenland it remains mainly dry. The maximum daytime temperatures are between three and ten degrees.
Clouds, sun and some rain showers alternate Assembly throughout Austria. However, until the afternoon the sun becomes more and more common. There will be no more storms either. This means that a very mild 15 degrees can be reached locally during the day.
The Tuesday remains comparable. It will remain sunny almost everywhere, with some showers possible along the northern Alps. A partly strong westerly wind blows from the north and east. The highest temperatures are between four and twelve degrees.
