Gun billionaire Gaston Glock was admitted to the private hospital before Christmas. Now there are the first reactions from politics and the business community to his death.
“What Gaston Glock has created as an entrepreneur in Ferlach in Carinthia contributes to the positive development of the entire region. In our community alone, he created 1,200 jobs through his weapons production. “I have been very grateful to my companion for decades,” says Ferlach’s mayor Ingo Appé.
Gold medal of honor of the gunsmith city
In 2013, the gun billionaire received Gunsmith City’s Golden Medal of Honor for his entrepreneurial skills. The Glock employees in particular were deeply shocked by the death of their boss and that is why the black flag was raised at the factory in Carinthia.
It is becoming quiet in the politics of Carinthia
In Carinthian politics, however, public expressions of condolence became increasingly quiet. Even Governor Peter Kaiser did not comment on the death of the exceptional entrepreneur, although he had awarded the world-famous Austrian the Golden Medal of Honor in 2014. Only the Freedom Party with Erwin Angerer and Team Carinthia boss Gerhard Köfer commented on the death of the 94-year-old on Facebook.
Three days before Christmas, Glock was said to have been admitted to the Maria Hilf private clinic in Klagenfurt, where he closed his eyes forever on Wednesday evening.
