Navarra government expects Siemens Energy to maintain employment despite takeover bid for Gamesa

The Minister for Economic Development of the Government of Navarra, Mikel Irujo, has assured that the sector will experience strong growth over the next ten years and therefore a high workload. In any case, he emphasized that major adjustments are needed.

When Siemens Energy announces a takeover offer (OPA) for all shares of Siemens Gamesa, the government of Navarra expects that the change in shareholding will have no effect on employment. In an interview for the “Faktoria” program of Euskadi Irratia, the Minister of Economic Development of the Government of Navarra, Mikel Irujo, emphasized that they maintain permanent and close contact with both the management and the Basque government. In that sense, he has assured that the sector will experience strong growth in the next ten years and with it a high workload. In any case, he emphasized that major adjustments are needed.
