Wild scenes in Tyrol – man (36) caught in snow blower: seriously injured

Date:

How could this happen? A local man (52) cleared snow from a driveway to a staff house in Ischgl on Sunday. While he was driving his tractor, which was about two meters wide and equipped with a snow blower at the front, he saw a person – a Spanish employee (36), as it turned out – coming towards him. But suddenly he disappeared – and ended up crawling out between the tractor and the snow blower!

The serious accident took place around 12.46 pm in the Tyrolean municipality of Ischgl. A local man (52) was clearing snow from the driveway to a staff house at a property. He used a tractor about seven feet wide with a snow blower attached to the front. The machine was running, but with the snow blower off the ground. Meanwhile, the worker saw a person coming towards him.

Crawled between the tractor and the snow blower
“But suddenly the 52-year-old no longer noticed this person,” police said. The locals stopped the machine – and then the terrible discovery happened! The person – a Spanish employee of the accommodation company (36) – crawled between the tractor and the snow blower! The man, who probably suffered serious injuries to his torso and legs, complained of pain.

Flown to the clinic by helicopter
The rescue chain was then immediately initiated and the man was flown to the clinic in Innsbruck by emergency helicopter.
