Horrible drama in the Innviertel (Upper Austria): A confused woman (78) left the house where she lives around 4 a.m. In the afternoon she was finally found at the edge of the forest. The doctor could only determine death by frostbite.
The woman lived with her husband in a residential care center in Waldzell and had been very confused lately. Wednesday night she took sleeping pills to help her fall asleep and went to bed.
Leave the house
She probably left the house around four o’clock in the morning after an argument with her husband and then never showed up. Because she always stayed with a friend, no one looked for her. Around 3:30 p.m., the visitor made the terrible discovery in the rear, poorly visible parking lot of the residential care center.
She found the woman lying next to some woods and immediately called rescuers. The doctor who was alerted could only determine that the woman was dead. The low temperatures caused her to freeze to death. There are no signs of foul play.
