Parked Tesla films knife attack on 2.13 meter high red light poles

Date:

A former band capo at Vienna’s Naschmarkt attacked “Long Peter”, a once feared rival, with a knife. A chance reunion led to action. The evidence in the trial in Landl, Vienna, on Friday comes from a – so far – unusual source.

Lawyer Christian Werner has often been in court together with Peter Aistleitner in recent decades. The 2.13 meter tall giant was forever regarded as ‘the rough guy’ for former Vienna red light boss Richard S.

The role on Friday was new for both: this time Aistleitner was not the defendant, but the victim. But the environment of crime remained the same. In a bar on Wienzeile, Aistleitner met a hostile ex-capo from the former Belt scene. An argument broke out. When ‘Long Peter’ left the restaurant, his ex-rival followed him along with an unknown perpetrator who was on the run. At the Naschmarkt they overpowered Aistleitner and stabbed him with a knife. “He only managed to escape through self-defense,” the prosecutor said. The victim suffered a deep stab wound to his thigh.

Two years for accused ex-capo
The ex-capo defended by Marcus Januschke was sentenced to two years for intentionally causing serious bodily harm. He is full of regret: “I can only sincerely apologize. “I’m ashamed to be sitting here now,” he says about a night of drinking. “When bald people meet, there is a problem.”

The highlight: a Tesla owner filed a police report: “My car recorded the attack” – with an automatic camera that apparently continuously films when the car is parked.

Discussion before the hearing
Before the negotiations, things were smoothed out between the rivals. The perpetrator paid a considerable amount of compensation on his own initiative: “He apologized and the matter was settled,” Aistleitner says dryly. Christian Werner is also satisfied: “It would be desirable if every suspect behaved like this.”
