Chinese PC giant Lenovo is now selling an 80-inch attachable screen, the size of a pair of thick sunglasses. The Legion glasses are being marketed to gamers who want a second screen on the go that can connect to laptops or handheld PCs via USB-C. In the test, it could also be used, with limitations, as an additional work display or as a mobile pocket cinema.
With Legion Glasses you don’t have to put on virtual or augmented reality glasses. Due to the lack of sensors to detect the position and environment, a screen is projected in front of the eye. It is based on two micro-OLED screens that use optical lenses to place a transparent full HD screen in front of the eye, which to the user resembles an 80-inch home theater when viewed from three meters away.
