Gruesome operation in Brandenburg, Germany: There, the police reportedly discovered a dead toddler in a car on a forest path on Monday evening.
According to the initial findings of the German police, the mother of the dead child was also found in the car. The car is said to have been discovered in Mittenwalde – just a few kilometers from the Berlin city limits. The woman (40) was still alive and receiving medical care, a police spokesperson said.
Forensic investigators on scene
The body is believed to be a six-year-old child. The police did not want to provide any information about the gender. The car was only discovered by the emergency services shortly before 2 a.m. – it is still completely unclear why the car was there.
The area of operations was largely closed. In addition to rescue workers, forensic investigators were also on site.
