Fortunately, this information ultimately turned out to be false, even though the dispatched Florianis from the professional fire brigade Klagenfurt and the volunteer fire brigade Viktring-Stein/Neudorf still had their hands full: a meter-high hedge was on fire.
The flames threatened to spread
And the fire threatened to spread to the facade. While emergency services launched firefighting efforts, the adjacent residential building was evacuated as a precaution – and residents were instructed to keep their windows closed.
