Two drivers got into a fight in Vienna after one tried to drive in front of the other on Rennweg.
A 28-year-old Austrian man was allegedly threatened with a pocket knife by a 75-year-old driver on Thursday evening after he tried to get in front of the older driver using the zipper system.
Provisionally arrested
According to reports, the 75-year-old deliberately accelerated to avoid this and later braked abruptly several times. When both vehicles stopped at a red light, the 28-year-old attempted to confront the older driver. As a result, the 75-year-old allegedly threatened him with a pocket knife.
Police officers from the Fiakerplatz police station intervened and arrested the 75-year-old driver near 7th Haidequerstrasse in the Simmering district. They temporarily detained him and were able to confiscate the knife.
