Until Shrove Tuesday, numerous events across the country invite young and old to celebrate the hustle and bustle. Also: What a certain woman “Krapf” has to do with carnival donuts.

The carnival season is quite short this year. As a rule, it begins on November 11, St. Martin’s Day, and ends on Ash Wednesday, which in 2024 falls on February 14. After the semester break, the fun time comes to an end. Until then, countless parades and balls will take place in towns and cities throughout the country.
