The interest of Carinthian youth seems limited. This is also evident from the figures from political youth organizations. They in turn see themselves as responsible and through their work try to inspire more young people to take on a political mandate.
They are seen as political framework forges: the junior organizations of the parties. And yet Carinthian youth do not seem particularly interested in participating in politics. If you just take the parties represented in the state parliament, the youth organizations on the front line only have 4,520 members and volunteers. According to its own information, the Junge VP (JVP) has 3,200 members. While the Socialist Young Generation (SJG) in Carinthia only has about 1,000 members, state chairman Luca Burgstaller sees embellished figures for the black competitor. The Freedom Youth (FJ) has a total of 320 members. No matter how strong the individual organizations are, they have one thing in common: they are an important and indispensable pillar of support for the parties; whether during the election campaign or when preparing for political office.
