During the night from Sunday to Monday, the Floriani disciples in the Kleinwalsertal were called up for a large-scale operation. There were four other people in the house at the time. They were awakened by the attentive neighbor and all five were able to get out in time to bring the fire service to safety.
The emergency services were eventually confronted with a fire that had already spread from the balcony to the roof structure. The fire brigade first tried to bring the fire under control from the inside, but failed – also due to the enormous heat that prevailed in the rooms.
