The parents waited in vain at home for their offspring to come home from kindergarten. The van was rammed by a car in the Perg district (Upper Austria) on Thursday afternoon. Result: four injured.
On Thursday around 12:30 p.m., a 74-year-old man from Mühlviertel was driving in the toddler stroller in the municipality of Baumgartenberg on the B3 towards Arbing and wanted to take two boys (four and five years old) from Baumgartenberg home.
The driver of the car had apparently overlooked the bend
The pensioner wanted to turn left at the intersection with the Deiming freight road, signaled left and reduced his speed. At that moment, an 18-year-old from Klam drove her car behind the van and apparently looked around the bend.
The car hit the back of the van. The two boys were taken to Kepler University Hospital with injuries of an unknown nature. The two drivers were also injured to an unspecified degree; they were taken to UKH Linz. No one’s life is in danger.
