Employees threatened – with a gun in the Vienna post office – with deployment

An unknown person allegedly used a suspected firearm to demand cash and threaten employees at a post office in Vienna-Penzing on Tuesday afternoon. The police are searching at full speed for the perpetrator.

The man is said to have stormed into the branch armed at around 3:45 p.m. According to police, the unknown person first threatened the employees and then demanded cash. The perpetrator then allegedly put the money in a black backpack and fled.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the robbery and officers are already looking for the man. According to witness statements, the robber was said to have been masked. He was also wearing dark clothing and a dark baseball cap. The extensive search measures have so far been unsuccessful.
