More than four years ago, an alcoholic drove into a group of tourists in Luttach in South Tyrol, ending the lives of seven young people. Now the now 30-year-old had to answer for this in court – he received a prison sentence of several years.
The German fatalities were thrown up to 30 meters through the air after the collision with the Audi TT. After the accident, the driver explained that the breakup with his girlfriend bothered him – which would have caused him to get behind the wheel of his car, despite his alcohol level, which was later found to be almost two per thousand.
