Russia bombed the Ukrainian port city of Odessa on Wednesday. The attack is particularly explosive because Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis were in the city at the time of the attack.
According to official reports, Russia fired missiles at the southern Ukrainian port city during a meeting between Zelensky and Mitsotakis. Shortly afterwards, a video showed that the two politicians were doing well. But there were deaths and injuries, Zelensky said on Wednesday, according to Ukrainian public television.
The rocket hit about 150 meters from the delegation, Greek officials told the Protothema news agency.
Politicians could not reach the shelter

The Greek head of government was shocked by what he had witnessed. At the end of a visit to the port, sirens and nearby explosions could be heard. “We did not manage to reach a shelter,” Mitsotakis told reporters in Odessa, according to Ukrainian reports. Zelensky had previously shown him port facilities and the consequences of previous attacks.
Von der Leyen: Let us not be intimidated!
