A completely skeletal body was discovered on Monday by a forest ranger above a hiking trail on the south side of Lake Grundlsee (Styria). The police were immediately alerted.
“A long gun was found next to the body,” the LPD Styria said on Thursday. The investigation began immediately.
Located in the forest for over two years
An autopsy of the body showed that the man was approximately 1.65 to 1.75 meters tall when alive. It is also said that he was over 30 years old at the time of death. It must have been in the spot where it was found for more than two years.
The police are asking for information
According to the police, suicide cannot be ruled out. The identity of the body has not yet been determined. Any information can be sent to the Bad Aussee police station (059133/6351-0) or to the newspaper service of the Styrian State Police (059133/60-3333).
