A lavish celebration ended in tragedy in a small community in Innviertel. During a riot, a group of eight men took a ride on a tractor and trailer. The vehicle suddenly overturned in a bend. A man was seriously injured.
The accident happened on Saturday around 3:45 p.m. A 32-year-old was driving his tractor and trailer on the Koblstadt freight road in the municipality of St. Martin im Innkreis. There were eight people from a group of people in the caravan at the time. As the 32-year-old drove the trailer into a right turn, the left parapet, or wooden railing, of the trailer broke, causing several people to fall from the trailer.
The breath test was positive
The 32-year-old driver was given an alcohol test, which was positive. A man (32) was taken by helicopter to UKH Linz with serious injuries and is currently in intensive care.
Two other people (32 and 31) were taken to Ried Hospital with injuries of an unknown nature and have already been released. The other five people signed lapels on the spot and refused medical attention. The driver’s driver’s license was temporarily confiscated on the spot. A report will follow to the Public Prosecution Service.
