Serious accident in Grafendorf near Hartberg: A 28-year-old woman left the road on Tuesday evening and ended up in a ditch. She injured herself so seriously that she had to be taken away by a rescue helicopter. It is still unclear why the accident occurred.
The 28-year-old was on his way from Grafendorf to Lafnitzt around nine o’clock in the evening when the accident occurred. For unclear reasons, the driver left the right side of Wechselstraat and was thrown into the ditch together with the car.
Rescue helicopter Christophorus 17 responded
Pursuing drivers freed her from the car, treated her and called emergency services. A rescue helicopter also had to be deployed. The 28-year-old was flown to hospital with injuries of unknown nature.
The car was declared a total loss and recovered by a towing company. 70 people from the Grafendorf and Lafnitz volunteer fire brigades were on duty – they kept the highway closed for two hours.
