Farmers and ranchers gathered Thursday in front of the provincial legislature. Although they planned to request a meeting with the Councilor for Citizen Security to discuss the fines, they ultimately decided to request a meeting with the mayor of Pamplona, Joseba Asiron.
Navarrese farmers have been fined by the Pamplona municipal police for allegedly parking their tractors in prohibited areas.
For this reason, after meeting this Thursday in front of the Foral Parliament, they went to the Town Hall Square of Pamplona to Try talking to a council member from the municipal council’s government team on these sanctions.
Although the farmers planned to request a meeting with the Councilor for Citizen Security to discuss the fines they receive from the municipal police, they ultimately decided to request meeting with the mayor from Pamplona, Joseba Asiron.
In this regard, says farmer Javier Rodríguez, from the platform 6Fhas indicated to the media that the only complaints they have received so far are from the Pamplona Municipal Police, many of them because they “parked where they told us to park”.
“This all seemed rather strange to us” and for this reason they are trying to get explanations from the Pamplona City Council, he stated.
Concerning the incidents from last Thursday at the doors of the Navarra parliament, he pointed out that they have no news of possible sanctions and, after apologizing “for that fight”, he insisted that they had never tried to enter the headquarters of the legislature.
Rodríguez has emphasized: “We can say clearly and emphatically that we are a apolitical movement that we demand necessary and urgent improvements for the primary sector, because it is dying.
“Are completely apolitical. We stand with any political party that wants to sit down with us to commit to the well-being of the sector. We don’t care what broad parliamentary arc we have, which side they sit on. We want them to sit down, we need them to sit down,” he emphasized.
In another order, the Navarrese farmers have submitted a request to the Pamplona City Council, claiming that the Consistory toss the chupinazo announcer of the next Sanfermines.
