Linz police are looking for witnesses after a collision: A 27-year-old pedestrian was hit on a protection path on Freistädter Straße in the capital on Sunday morning, after which the driver ran away.
A cyclist (49) discovered the injured person a little later lying on a grass verge. She took her home because the 27-year-old initially did not want to alert the emergency services, police report.
Mom called the rescue
The mother of the injured person then called the emergency number. Her daughter was admitted to Kepler University Hospital.
Witnesses to the accident, which is believed to have occurred around 6:45 a.m., are now requested to contact the Linz traffic inspectorate: 059133/454800.
