While patrolling the airport grounds on Wednesday, two officers from the Schwechat City Police Command discovered a cat wandering around helplessly. The foundling is now being cared for in the animal shelter.
A young cat was discovered on Wednesday on the airport grounds by Alexander and Niklas from the Schwechat police command. The velvet paw ran along the fence onto the platform, trying in vain to overcome the barrier. She eventually took shelter under the parked patrol car and hid in the wheel well.
Good use of animals
The animal-loving police officers managed to get the scared cat out of its hiding place. The approximately eight-month-old foundling was then examined by the airport’s veterinary service.
The brave rescuers personally brought the cat to the Bruck an der Leitha animal shelter, where it is now receiving further care.
