“My son is still intimidated and initially hardly dared to leave the house,” says a mother from the Zillertal.
She recently visited family in Weerberg with her eight-year-old son. The child was located on a gravel road that runs past the adjacent farm. “He was there playing with the stones,” the local resident said.
Boy claims to have heard the dog’s command
Then the escalation: Suddenly the old farmer appeared, he started complaining and allegedly put his border collie mix on the eight year old. With the command ‘on him’, as the child later described. “Luckily he wasn’t injured, the dog only grabbed him by the pants,” the mother said.
Fortunately, the older sister intervened
Seconds later, the boy’s older sister (24) ran over and bravely intervened. “The son and daughter came to me completely distraught and crying,” the Zillertal resident describes the excitement.
She then reported the incident to the Schwaz police. “We have forwarded the facts to the Innsbruck public prosecutor’s office. “It concerns attempted bodily harm,” an official said in response to a “Krone” investigation.
Police confirm another previous incident
