A 92-year-old German was reported missing in Lower Austria on Thursday. Werner Friedrich Roggmann had taken a bus trip from Vienna to Melk in Lower Austria – but on the way home there was suddenly no trace of the older man.
Roggmann lives in an apartment building for pensioners in Vienna. On Thursday he traveled by bus to Melk with four supervisors. When the bus was about to begin its return journey home at about 5:30 p.m., it was determined that the retiree was no longer with the group.
Relevant information is requested from the Milk Police Inspectorate on telephone number 059133/3130.
It is believed that he would have tried to take the train back to Vienna himself. The 92-year-old could therefore be in the Melk district or in Vienna, or there is also the possibility that Roggmann would have driven towards Linz. According to the police, an accident cannot be ruled out.
