Helpers knew the victims – Fatal crash: 22-year-old thrown from car

Date:

Terrible accident Thursday morning in Heiligenberg. A 22-year-old was thrown from his car during a collision and died on the spot from his serious injuries. Particularly dramatic: the emergency services knew the victim personally. The parents were there too.

A 36-year-old from Andorf drove his company car in the municipality of Heiligenberg on the L1210 Leithenbachstrasse towards Waizenkirchen on Thursday around 6:50 am. At the same time, a 22-year-old from Eschenau in the Hausruckkreis approached the intersection with the L1210 Leithenbachstraße in his company car on the Holzhumer freight route.

Thrown out of the car
When the 22-year-old entered L1210 Leithenbachstrasse, a collision occurred with the 36-year-old’s car. The force of the collision only brought both vehicles to a stop in an adjacent field. The 22-year-old was thrown from his car during the accident and was left lying in a meadow.

Parents were there
Two uninvolved motorists following behind started the rescue chain and provided first aid. Despite immediate resuscitation measures, the emergency physician was unfortunately only able to determine that the 22-year-old was dead. The 36-year-old was injured to an unknown extent and was taken to the Wels Clinic after receiving first aid. The crisis intervention team had to take care of the emergency services and the parents of the deceased who were present.
