A man was killed in a violent confrontation in the port of Dortmund in Germany’s Ruhr area on Thursday evening. A 13-year-old boy was temporarily arrested by the police as a suspect. Germany is shocked.
The 13-year-old allegedly killed the 31-year-old homeless man. Cell phone video shows the child allegedly stabbing the man with a knife Thursday evening. The autopsy also showed that the 31-year-old victim died from multiple stab wounds.
In an initial report, investigators initially reported on a previously unidentified victim and four youths between the ages of 13 and 15 who had been arrested. One of them, a 14-year-old, may have filmed the crime with his cell phone.
Eyewitnesses have observed knife crime
Witnesses saw an argument and called the police. Four people fled but were temporarily arrested minutes later. According to the current state of the investigation, it can now be assumed that “the four arrested persons met the victim by chance at the port.” The possible murder knife was tracked down near the crime scene by a police dog.
Homicide is investigating
The two 13-year-olds who were initially arrested have already been released from police custody following their hearing; the remaining two are reportedly represented by a lawyer and are due to be questioned later in the day. “Then it will be decided whether they will be brought to trial.”
