The nice weather attracted motorcyclists onto the road on Sunday – unfortunately there were also some accidents. A woman had an accident on the A2 Südautobahn, two drivers collided at the junction.
Two motorcycles collided near Gaberl in the municipality of Lobmingtal around 2:40 p.m. Both drivers had to be flown to hospital by rescue helicopter.
Crashed into a concrete barrier
Shortly after 1 p.m., an accident also occurred on the A2 in Laßnitzhöhe: a 40-year-old woman fell due to a flat tire and hit the concrete barrier. Drivers following behind were able to brake early enough, call the emergency services and provide first aid.
The woman was also flown to hospital. A traffic jam was created that was three kilometers long.
