On Sunday morning, a child was trapped in a car in a traffic accident on the A3 highway in southeastern Lower Austria. It can be freed from following drivers.
The accident took place on the A3 between Ebreichsdorf (Baden district) and Münchendorf (Mödling district) in the direction of Vienna. A Hungarian driver lost control of her vehicle for unknown reasons. The car skidded, crashed into the concrete barrier and came to a stop on the opposite side of the road in the fast lane.
Child locked in the backseat
The driver was able to free himself from the car, but her granddaughter was trapped in the back seat. The drivers below provided assistance and alerted the emergency services.
“We were alerted to a human rescue on the A3, but when we arrived the toddler had already been freed from the vehicle. The following drivers broke the window and freed the child from the accident car,” explains operations manager Michael Ditzer of the Ebreichsdorf fire brigade.
No injuries
Neither the woman nor the toddler were injured in the crash. The Ebreichsdorf fire brigade had to rescue the accident vehicle.
